FRENCH

Reasons why you should take french (or at least take a language course)

Learning something you like is going to be easier to do because you obviously like doing it, but when you do something you don't really like learning, you would hate it. Learning french for majority is something they don't really like to learn, but when people get the opportunity to learn japanese, people will be more likely to pick it over most other languages they want to learn.

1. It's much quicker to learn than using apps that only slightly boost your progress

  • you can learn the language much quicker inside of school

2. It's much easier and more chill to learn than other courses

  • It's all centered around the french words, if you learned english

3. It's good to know another language

  • Knowing another language makes you look better on job applications which allows you to have a wider range of  interactions

From Palmer website -> Note: All Language 11 & 12 courses are accepted as a second language university entrance requirement.  Introductory Language courses do not necessarily qualify (i.e. Japanese Introductory 11 and Spanish Introductory 11).  Please check with the specific post secondary institution.

Overall, learning french or having a 2nd language in general is good and highly recommend it if you haven't already learned it yet

4. It looks good on your extracurricular activities

  • Having extracurriculars on your university submission is really good
