English introduction
In English 9, the course helps improve your skills in reading, writing, speaking, and analyzing.
It also will help you a lot since essays will become more common with later grades
Assessment

The course is divided into 7 subjects
1.Vocabulary
2. Language Arts
3. Short stories
4. Writing
5. Novel studies
6. poetry
7. Drama
Course outline
Assessment is as follows:
35 % of your grade is Homework and Assignments
35 % of your grade is Quizzes / tests
30 % of your grade is participation and behaviour
Supplies
Pens, Pencils, and erasers
Self explanatory, for writing and erasing.
Also bring highlighters for notes
Lined paper
Very useful for it's versatility, whether if it's writing, copying an equation down, or writing an essay. It's useful to have some lying around
Binder
for keeping your English papers

The binder also must be dedicated to english and english only
You will also need 8 subjects dividers, the extra one is for review.
To sum it up. English helps you build upon the major skills such as reading, writing, and speaking.
